Following the death of oppressive Emperor Aurangzeb, his sons fought for the succession to the thrown. Bahadur Shah obtained help from Guru Gobind Singh Ji to succeed to the thrown. When Guru Gobind Singh Ji came to Delhi after the coronation of Bahadur Shah as the Emperor of India, he gave the utmost respect to the Guru as his appreciation. Guru Gobind Singh Ji, in this painting, is aiming an arrow on his bow towards Red Fort of Delhi to send a message of his arrival.
