Maharaja Dalip Singh was the youngest son of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. He was born in February 1837. He was enthroned on 18 September 1843, when the political circumstances were worst. When he was only ten years old, the British Kingdom achieved the unfair benefit of his minority and signed a treaty with deception and occupied Punjab and exiled him.
